Curriculum for Wales at SJL
The SJL curriculum enables our core mission of ‘Learning and Growing together in Christ’. As a Catholic School we aim to develop a Christian Community which believes in and affirms the dignity and value of the individual and encourages its members to develop their potential in terms of knowledge, understanding, spiritual, moral, cultural and physical awareness.
Our Mission Statement encapsulates the principal aims of our school by building a positive and supportive learning community that nurtures and develops the whole person. This ensures each individual pupil can flourish, develop their talents and achieve their full potential.
In designing the new curriculum, we have integrated the four key purposes with the virtues from the pupil profile. Our design is based around enabling our pupils to be the best version of themselves, inspired by the beatitudes and being at the heart of our communities: school, church, local, national and international. It takes as its theme the bee.
